Anushka Shetty’s much-awaited film Ghaati was initially planned for release this month, but due to delays in the VFX work, the team has pushed the release to a later date. Surprisingly, the makers have not announced a new release date, leaving fans in suspense.
There was speculation that the film might target September 5th as its release date, but recent developments suggest otherwise.
Fans, already missing Anushka (fondly called Sweety) both on-screen and in public appearances, were further disappointed when she skipped the Baahubali 10 Years Reunion. Despite a strong initial buzz created for Ghaati, the lack of active promotion in recent weeks has caused interest to cool down.
Director Krish, who is also engaged with Hari Hara Veera Mallu, has maintained silence about Ghaati. Meanwhile, UV Creations, the production house, has remained tight-lipped even as fans constantly ask for updates. The film’s post-production work is moving at a brisk pace, but uncertainty about an ideal release window continues to loom.
Adding to the complexity, the pan-India film Mirai is reportedly firm on its September 5th release. To avoid competition, the makers of Ghaati seem to be eyeing a solo release date. If the September window is missed, the film is likely to be pushed to October, November, or even December.
The longer the delay, the more the buzz around Ghaati risks fading. Fans hope the team will act quickly and announce a confirmed release plan to keep the excitement alive.
