There’s still no clarity on Sweety Anushka Shetty’s upcoming film projects. After Nishabdham, the actress remained silent for almost four years before surprising everyone with Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty. Many thought that post that success, Anushka would sign multiple films, but so far, the only project she has committed to is Ghati with director Krish.
Even Ghati has been facing delays. Produced jointly by UV Creations and First Frame Entertainment, the film was originally planned for an April release this year. However, due to pending VFX work, it was postponed. Recently, there was buzz that Ghati would hit the screens on September 5. But according to the latest reports from film circles, the film may miss the September slot as well.
In fact, sources say the release might now be pushed to November or December. The reason is that after the first week of September, big-star movies are lined up continuously for Dussehra and Diwali, leaving no good window for Ghati. To avoid a clash, the makers are considering a late-year release instead.
Whether the film will finally release in 2024 or get pushed to next year remains to be seen. Fans have been eagerly waiting for updates, as every postponement adds to the suspense.
The film stars Anushka Shetty in a powerful role, with Vikram Prabhu and Jagapathi Babu playing key characters. The teaser and a song released earlier managed to impress audiences, raising expectations. With Ghati, Anushka is looking to prove her strength once again on screen.
Her fans are hopeful that once Ghati releases, it will mark a strong comeback and lead her to sign more projects in succession. For now, all eyes are on when the long-awaited Ghati will finally hit theatres.
