The North American box office is heating up as two of 2025’s most anticipated Indian films, Coolie and War 2, prepare for their grand premieres.

Coolie continues its impressive overseas run, having already grossed $1,820,932 from 522 locations across 1,729 shows, with 71,948 tickets sold. Including Canadian sales, the film’s total North American advance bookings have reached a remarkable $2.09 million, featuring a single-day jump of over $200,000. Both the Tamil and Telugu versions contributed significantly, each posting more than $100,000 in sales in the last 24 hours alone.

Industry experts note that AMC Theatres has so far scheduled a limited number of shows for Coolie, with a full-scale rollout expected soon, which could further boost box office numbers.

Meanwhile, War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, is showing steady momentum. The film has collected $470,392 from 696 locations across 1,852 shows, with 17,653 tickets sold. Its total North American advance sales now stand at $520,000. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, this spy thriller is making progress, but trade analysts suggest it will need a significant final push in the next couple of days to surpass the $1 million premiere milestone.

With just two days remaining before their premieres, all eyes are on whether Coolie can break new overseas records and if War 2 can generate a late surge to close the gap.
