Apple and Japanese design house ISSEY MIYAKE have unveiled the iPhone Pocket, an innovative iPhone accessory that redefines how users carry their most essential device. Announced on November 11, 2025, this collaboration embodies both brands’ shared philosophies of craftsmanship, simplicity, and utility, merging technology and high fashion into a single, wearable statement piece.
Inspired by ISSEY MIYAKE’s signature concept of “a piece of cloth,” the iPhone Pocket features a 3D-knitted ribbed structure that stretches to fit any iPhone model. The breathable, pleated-like textile not only protects the device but also adapts to hold other small items such as AirPods or keys—leading many to call it an evolved “iPhone sock.”
When stretched, the open textile subtly reveals the phone’s display, allowing users a quick glimpse at notifications. Designed for flexibility, it can be tied to bags or worn on the body, available in eight colours for the short strap version ($149.95 / ~₹13,300) and three colours for the long strap version ($229.95 / ~₹20,400).
Yoshiyuki Miyamae, Design Director at MIYAKE DESIGN STUDIO, describes the iPhone Pocket as a celebration of “the joy of wearing iPhone in your own way.” Molly Anderson, Apple’s Vice President of Industrial Design, echoed this, calling it a “clever extra pocket” and praising the thoughtful colour palette designed to complement all iPhone finishes.
The iPhone Pocket draws parallels with Apple’s 2004 iPod Socks, though this new iteration transforms a nostalgic idea into a luxury fashion object. Launching November 14, 2025, it will be available via Apple.com and select Apple Stores across France, Greater China, the US, the UK, Singapore, Italy, South Korea, and Japan.
