Joining the list this year is popular young actress Ashika Ranganath. She looked stunning in her traditional ensemble for Ganesh Chaturthi and shared the pictures on Instagram, winning hearts instantly. Ashika wore a soft-colored plain saree paired with a sleeveless yellow blouse. She styled her hair partially tied, leaving some strands loose, and adorned her bun with fresh flowers, adding a festive touch. In her posts, she wished her fans a happy Ganesh Chaturthi, and her photos have quickly gone viral on social media.
A little about Ashika: she was born on August 5, 1996, in Tumakuru, Karnataka, to Kannada-speaking parents Sudha and Ranganath. She has an elder sister, Anusha Ranganath, who is also in the Kannada film industry. Ashika completed her schooling at Bishop Sargant School, Tumakuru, and pursued her pre-university studies at Jyothi Nivas College in Bengaluru. She participated in the Clean & Clear Miss Fresh Face Bangalore contest and emerged as a runner-up in 2014. She also completed a commerce degree and trained in various dance forms including western and freestyle.
Ashika made her acting debut in 2016 with “Crazy Boy”, directed by Mahesh Babu, winning the Best Actress award from SIIMA for her very first film. She starred alongside Kannada superstar Shivarajkumar in subsequent projects and made her Telugu debut with “Amigos” (2023). She later appeared in “Na Samiranga” and is now part of “Vishwambhar”, directed by Vashishta Mallidi and featuring Megastar Chiranjeevi, slated for a summer 2026 release. Additionally, Ashika is also set to appear in Tamil projects, including “Sardar 2”, further expanding her pan-South reach.
Ashika’s festive photos and her growing presence in both Telugu and Tamil cinema have made her one of the most talked-about young actresses today.
