Telangana supporters attacked Jagan Mohan Reddy’s convoy at Lothukunta as he was returning back after meeting President Pranab Mukherjee today at 11.30 AM. Jagan is meeting President for the third time after Congress led UPA Govt at Centre announced its decision to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh and carve Telangana.
Jagan met President Pranab along with his MLAs, MLCs and even former MLAs. Later they claimed that Jagan informed President the need to keep Andhra Pradesh united and how problems arise in the aftermath of division. Even as Jagan was meeting President, Telangana supporters angry with the stand taken by Jagan and his party against Telangana formation, continued protests outside President’s office.
Though the police tried stopping them, they managed to sneak in and then get into verbal duel along with YSRCP supporters. Jagan who is keen to make rich dividends in seemandhra, started adopting tough posture against Telangana formation. He even met all national leaders on the issue sometime back.
