A Public Interest Litigation (PIL) was filed by Film audience association President, Narasimha Rao regarding the black ticketing menace of Baahubali.
Narasimha Rao brought to the notice of the court that the makers, distributors and exhibitors are resorting to illegal black marketing and are endangering the lives of audience in stampedes in theater queues where only handful of tickets are given in the counters.
Few people have also complained to Telangana Home Minister regarding the illegal hike of ticket price. In Vishakapatnam, Joint Collector had announced that strict action will be taken on theaters encouraging black ticketing.
The JC also announced that Police personnel will be deployed at all the theaters for one week to ensure the tickets are sold in the counter for prices fixed by the government. High court is likely to hear the petition tomorrow and we will have to see if it becomes a headache for the movie makers.
