Baahubali Bridge Nears Completion, Boosting Amaravati’s Connectivity

With the NDA government taking charge in Andhra Pradesh, the capital region of Amaravati is witnessing renewed infrastructure development. One of the most significant projects in this revival is the mega “Baahubali” bridge, which is now in its final stages of completion.

Spanning the Krishna River, this massive bridge is set to transform connectivity in the region. With dedicated funding allocations from the NDA government, construction has been progressing rapidly. Once operational, commuters traveling to Amaravati will no longer need to pass through Vijayawada. The bridge will connect directly to the highway starting at Gollapudi, providing a seamless route.

Previously, Amaravati lacked a direct bypass, forcing travelers to go through Vijayawada to reach national highways. This bridge will provide direct access to key highways, improving connectivity to major cities and enhancing Amaravati’s accessibility. The improved roadway infrastructure is expected to play a crucial role in Amaravati’s urban expansion, facilitating better transportation and boosting economic growth.

The construction of the Baahubali Bridge is being carried out by Navayuga and Adani groups, with work progressing at a rapid pace. If all goes as planned, the bridge is expected to be open for public use by the end of April, marking a major milestone in Amaravati’s infrastructure development.
