Baahubali’ Director and Producer Maybe Arrested!

It is a known news that ace director SS Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali’s sequel ‘Baahubali – The Conclusion’ is on sets at the moment. The movie got its Kerala shoot completed recently. The makers, however, have reportedly violated the rules in using live animals for the shoot of the movie.

According to the reports, an elephant named ‘Chirackal Kalidasan was used for the shoot of ‘Baahubali 2’ in Trissur recently. The makers reportedly didn’t get prior certificate from Animal Welfare Board of India to use the animal.

The activists of Heritage Animal Task Force has sent a letter of complaint to the PM Narendra Modi alleging that the elephant was made to stand for several hours under the high beam light for shooting. Also, the banned weapon ‘Ankush’ was used to control the animal.

When around 50 unit members were making lot of noise no animal welfare officer was present in the shoot of the movie. The task force demanded the arrest of the director, producer and cinematographer of the movie under the ‘Violation of Animal Rights Act’. The response of the makers is awaited on the incident.
