Babli’s mysterious secret in backburner !

The Babli cauldron has been boiling for some years.  The Maharashtra government has constructed the  the dam upstream of SRSP.  Claiming that it would make SRSP project dry and wreak untold havoc to Telangana, the Government of AP appealed to the Supreme Court to put a stay to the construction of the dam, and the Supreme court said it would be ridiculous to order stoppage of the dam since it is almost completed, and provided some safeguards to AP.  Promptly the Chief Minister of AP and other leaders of the Congress Party declared that the Babli would not adversely affect AP. Now, what exactly is the truth?

K Chandrasekhara Rao  the Telengana Rashtriya Samithi Chief and his Party now want an all-party conference to thrash out the issue.Chandra Babu Naidu, the TDP supremo raised a lot of protests and his Party organized  agitations against the Babli while it was under construction.  Surprisingly, the TRS and its Chief were very muted at that  time making all wonder  there was thundering silence from TRS.  One wiseacre even went to the extent of quipping that KCR  and Sharad Pawar of Maharashtra entered into a quid pro quo understanding : that TRS would not protest against Babli in exchange for Pawar’s support for  Telengana.  One wonders : why was KCR willing to spare so much water to Maharashtra which would result in SRSP becoming ineffective and a waste of money and making Telengana parched?
