AP CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s ongoing China tour seems to be turning out to be a grand success. Already, Babu signed several MoUs with reputed Chinese public and private companies to set up their projects in Andhra Pradesh.Babu signed a Rs. 43,000 crore worth MoU with China’s Association of Small and Medium Enterprises to set up an industrial park in Donakonda in Prakasam district. The proposed industrial park will feature building, logistics and materials units and it will be spread across 10,000 acres.
The industrial park would be set up in three phases and is expected to offer employment to nearly 55,000 locals. Apart from this pact, the Babu-led delegation has entered into an MoU with LEPL Ventures Private Limited, Isomeric Holdings Sdn Bhd and Huanqin Contracting and Engineering Corp (HQC) to set up a Rs 10,183 crore worth gas-based fertilizer plant at Krishnapatnam. The project would commence in the ongoing financial year.
On the first day of his tour, Babu got into an agreement with the Chinese government-owned steel major Ansteel for setting up a Rs 3,000 crore worth steel plant in Kadapa. After the recently concluded Vizag summit, Babu’s first major foreign tour is raining projects for the state.
