The cult blockbuster Baby has carved a special place in Indian cinema, earning widespread acclaim and a string of prestigious awards that have cemented its status as a modern classic. What started as a modest release soon turned into one of the biggest hits of the year, propelled by glowing reviews and overwhelming audience appreciation. Now, the film has reached a new pinnacle of recognition by bagging two major honors at the 71st National Film Awards (2023).

Starring Anand Deverakonda, Viraj Ashwin, and Vaishnavi Chaitanya, Baby won Best Screenplay Writer for Sai Rajesh, whose emotionally rich storytelling resonated deeply with audiences, and Best Playback Singer (Male) for PVNS Rohit, for his soulful rendition of the hit song Premisthunna. Beyond its box-office triumph with collections surpassing ₹100 crore, Baby swept multiple awards across platforms such as GAMA and SIIMA. These accolades reflect not only its immense popularity but also the dedication and talent of the entire cast and crew.

Directed by Sai Rajesh and produced by SKN under the Mass Movie Makers banner, Baby continues to receive appreciation for its heartfelt narrative and impactful performances. The National Awards further highlight the significant contributions of SKN and Sai Rajesh to Indian cinema. Meanwhile, the success story of Baby is far from over. A Hindi remake of the film is currently in development. Additionally, producer SKN is reuniting with Sai Rajesh and director Ravi Nambhuri for an upcoming project titled Chennai Love Story, starring Kiran Abbavaram and Sri Gouri Priya.
