Balakrishna Fans Disrupt Screening of Daku Maharaj in North Carolina

Nandamuri Balakrishna, one of Tollywood’s most beloved stars, has a massive following, particularly among his dedicated fans. His latest film, Daku Maharaj, which released on January 12, has received a warm reception at the box office, especially among Balayya’s fanbase, who are thrilled by his stylish portrayal in this action-packed film.

However, things took an unexpected turn during a screening of the film in North Carolina, United States, where Balayya’s fans took their excitement to an extreme level. The fans began to disrupt the theater by clapping, whistling, and cheering loudly during the film. Despite the management’s warnings to refrain from such actions, the fans persisted, causing significant disturbance.

As a response, the theater management took drastic measures and turned off the DTS sound system, leading to a screening with minimal audio and no sound effects. Despite this, the fans continued to be disruptive. Finally, the management had no choice but to stop the screening and threatened to cancel the show altogether. Realizing the severity of the situation, the fans calmed down and promised not to cause further disruption.

The screening resumed under the condition that there would be no more disturbances, and the fans remained silent for the remainder of the film. While the enthusiasm of Balakrishna’s fans is certainly understandable, it’s important to recognize the cultural differences in the United States. Such behavior may be more common in India, but it is not acceptable in a cinema setting abroad. This situation serves as a reminder for Telugu audiences to be mindful and respectful of the local norms while enjoying films in foreign theaters.
