Jailer remains one of the biggest hits in South Indian cinema, playing a key role in reviving Superstar Rajinikanth’s career. The film’s massive reach across languages was further boosted by powerful cameos from stars like Shiva Rajkumar, Mohanlal, and Jackie Shroff. Now, the much-anticipated sequel, Jailer 2, is set to get an even bigger boost with the addition of Nandamuri Balakrishna in a special cameo.
After months of speculation, it has now been exclusively confirmed that Balakrishna is officially on board for Jailer 2. Interestingly, he was initially considered for a cameo in the first part for the Telugu audience, but that plan didn’t materialize. This time, however, Balakrishna has given the green signal, and director Nelson is said to have crafted a powerful and engaging role for him.
Adding to the excitement, Shiva Rajkumar has also confirmed his return in the sequel. Nelson, who is expected to collaborate with Jr. NTR in the near future, is currently focusing on Jailer 2 and his work with the Nandamuri star is generating strong buzz.
If Balakrishna’s cameo strikes the right chord, fans may start demanding a full-length film featuring him and Nelson. The shoot for Jailer 2 is currently underway, and an official announcement regarding Balakrishna’s inclusion is expected soon. The film is being produced by Sun Pictures, with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
