Balakrishna Seeks Long-Awaited Ministerial Post in TDP

Nandamuri Balakrishna, who has secured three consecutive terms as MLA from Hindupur in the undivided Anantapur district, has yet to be appointed to a ministerial position in Chandrababu Naidu’s cabinet. This has become a topic of growing debate, especially considering that first-time MLAs have received ministerial berths this term, while Tollywood star and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan has been elevated to Deputy Chief Minister.

Political circles suggest that Balakrishna, popularly known as Balayya, has now set his sights on a ministerial role and is reportedly pressing his demand. Sources indicate that one cabinet position still remains vacant, which CM Chandrababu Naidu had previously promised to MLC Nagababu, Pawan Kalyan’s brother — a promise that has yet to be fulfilled.

The speculation gained further momentum during Balakrishna’s recent visit to Hindupur. At Basavanapalli Zilla Parishad High School in Kirikera Panchayat, Hindupur mandal, where he inaugurated a new school building, TDP workers staged a protest demanding a ministerial post for Balayya. As he departed, party supporters and fans gathered at Basavanapalli Cross, waving placards and chanting slogans urging CM Naidu to grant Balakrishna the cabinet berth he has long awaited.

This development has intensified discussions within TDP circles about whether Balayya will finally secure a ministerial position, marking a significant political moment for the party and its supporters.
