Well, it is now a known fact that Brahmani had given birth to a boy on Ugadi this year. Goes without saying, all of Nara and Nandamuri households were totally ecstatic about the arrival and Nandamuri Balakrishna spoke to the media to announce the good news. “We are happy that it is a boy.
But even if it was a baby girl, we wouldn’t have really minded. All we want is for our children to grow up as happy and healthy individuals irrespective of their gender,” said the proud grandfather.
In fact, Balayya’s thoughts have come at the right time as female infanticide has led to a huge gender disparity in many northern states of India and it is high time that celebrities once again spoke about the issue to bring awareness among people.
