Somaraju, a Hyderabad-based advocate, approached HRC complaining that the police have not taken action against the offenders as they work for Bandla Ganesh. The petitioner pointed out cops should have filed a case against the accused under Nirbhaya Act by now, but they have not even begun the investigation. He also demanded the HRC to file case under Prevention of Child Labour Act against the producer for encouraging child labour.
A 9-year girl who works in Ganesh’s poultry farm was raped by her co-worker Srinu. The incident took place at Jedcherla of Mahabubnagar district. Parents of the girl lodged a complaint after she disclosed the outrage.
Bandla Ganesh is in trouble now for making a minor girl work in his farm. It is learnt that he is avoiding media ever since the rape incident came to light.
