A Bangladeshi plane (S2-AGU Bombardier Dash 8 Q400) with around 67 travelers onboard crash-landed on a runway while the pilot attempted to make a landing at Tribhuvan International Airport in Nepal capital Khatmandu, leaving 38 people dead. Along with four crew members, the plane was carrying a total of 71 people. The flight was traveling from Dhaka in Bangladesh to Khatmandu in Nepal.
The tragic accident reportedly happened around 14:20 Local time (08:35GMT) and all the incoming and outgoing the flights from Khathmandu have been cancelled for now. The plane, operated by US-Bangla airlines immediately caught with fire on the runway, while landing. Till this time, 38 people have been found to be dead, 23 injurers have been rescued by airport authorities and they were sent to a local hospital.
The rescue operation is still underway and the causality number is likely to go high. on other hand, videos and photos of the damaged plane is going viral on social media sites. Alerted with the incident, Nepal govt has deployed its military personnel to help the authorities in rescue operation.
