New Delhi: The private jet of troubled Vijay Mallya is up for sale but we hear there have been no takers.The sales tax department put up a notification for e-auction of private the jet, named VT-VJM, but no one has coughed up the mandatory Rs 1 crore deposit. The reason: the 25-passenger, six-crew luxurious jet is thought to be jinxed.
“Which billionaire in India will wish to buy a jet that brought so much turmoil to its owner? They can instead go for a new one, no?” says a former employee of the business tycoon.
