When KCR announced Sania Mirza as the brand ambassador of Telangana, it was greeted with peals of laughter and scorn by a majority of the public for they felt it was just another KCR-ploy to suck up to the minorities.But of late, KCR seems to be enamored of her. Every time that Sania Mirza is winning a tournament, he is announcing cash rewards of Rs 1 crore for her.
Now Sania Mirza was already given Rs 1 crore when she was appointed as brand ambassador of Telangana to promote the interests of the state.
It is not wrong to reward sportspersons for their performances but turning a complete blind eye to the deaths of so many farmers and then pampering one particular person?
Rs 1 crore can so easily alleviate the misery of so many farmers. And what exactly has Sania done by way of promoting ‘Brand Telangana’?
