Sounding the poll bugle at Tirupati today, YSR Congress President Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy said that the upcoming Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh are not only about our fight against TDP Chief N. Chandrababu Naidu but also the deadly “Yellow media” (a word coined for pro-TDP media). Talking at the YSRCP’s new campaign ‘Samara Sankharavam’, he asked all his party cadre to be alert and ensure that voters cast their votes and “do not trust all the news that the Yellow media propagates.”
Coming down heavily on the TDP Chief, Jagan said that the party cadre needs to give its best in these two months, ahead of the polls. This campaign of the YSRCP is believed to put an end to the Telugu Desam Party rule in the state, believe the party followers. Calling it a first-of-its-kind meeting, YSRCP Chief said that this is the first in the history of AP that a political party is holding a meeting which also includes booth level cadre.
Firing a salvo at the Telugu Desam Government and Chandrababu, Jagan said that “the Chief Minister has encouraged corruption and should work towards another movie titled ‘How to rob a State of its finances’ and also tell us the story of how to give take bribes in sand contracts and other governments contracts.”
Jagan also added that TDP government did not bother about DWCRA women in all these four and half years and now, it is offering poll baits. “Similarly, farmers, workers in the unorganised sector and BCs also have been trapped by TDP’s politricks,” he said, adding that the Budget presented in the AP Assembly is “half-budget” and that the TDP is not doing a good job, even by copying schemes.
