Young actress Bhagyashri Borse, who has appeared in films like Mr. Bachchan and is currently working on Kingdom, is all set to star opposite Akhil Akkineni in her next big project. According to sources, Bhagyashri was recently signed on for the lead role in Lenin, directed by Murali Kishore Abburu. She reportedly loved the script and is expected to begin shooting soon alongside Akhil and the rest of the cast.
Bhagyashri replaces Sreeleela, who had to opt out of the film due to scheduling conflicts. “Sreeleela was called in to shoot for Ustaad Bhagat Singh, which required her to allot nearly 40 days for filming with superstar Pawan Kalyan,” a source revealed. “To avoid date clashes, she informed the producers of Lenin and stepped away from the project.”
Sreeleela has been one of the busiest actresses in the South Indian film industry, with a rapidly growing brand value following a streak of successful films. She has already completed shooting for her Bollywood debut Aashiqui 3 opposite Kartik Aaryan and recently signed a major Tamil film Prashakti, where she stars alongside Sivakarthikeyan.
“She’s actively expanding into multiple film industries—Telugu, Hindi, and Tamil—and juggling dates between big projects,” the source added. “Naturally, that means she sometimes has to let go of certain offers despite interest.”
Meanwhile, Lenin had already generated buzz earlier this year with the release of its first glimpse in April. The addition of Bhagyashri Borse to the cast adds a fresh dynamic to the project. While an official announcement from the film’s team is awaited, reports confirm that Bhagyashri has officially come on board and is gearing up for her new role.
