Telugu television’s popular reality show Bigg Boss is gearing up for its ninth season, with King Nagarjuna returning as the host. Season 9 is expected to premiere on September 7, and the makers have introduced an interesting twist by mixing celebrities with commoners among the contestants.
Before the new season kicks off, a pre-season show titled “Agni Pariksha” will air. This show will feature 15 shortlisted commoners and will premiere on JioHostar from August 22. Former Bigg Boss contestants Navdeep, Bindu Madhavi, and Abhijeet will serve as judges, conducting tasks to select nine final contestants for the main show. Agni Pariksha will continue until Bigg Boss 9 officially launches, allowing audiences to get acquainted with the commoners’ personalities, strengths, and strategies.
Bigg Boss 9 will feature 18 contestants—nine celebrities and nine commoners. The pre-season show helps commoners build a fan base before entering the Bigg Boss house. Meanwhile, celebrity participants may observe their gameplay and adjust strategies accordingly while leveraging their existing fan following.
