In the latest episode of Bigg Boss Telugu 5, Bigg Boss asked Sunny to read one of the two envelopes and use his power. According to which, Sunny could grab half of the golden pearls from another contestant and give those to someone else. He transferred Siri’s pearls to Maanas. He later revoked his decision and transferred it to Shanmukh.
Ravi then reported that Maanas and Priyanka had the highest number of pearls. They competed in a challenge to become the first captaincy contender.
Challenge 1:
Priyanka and Maanas had to blow out the maximum number of balloons to win the task. Priyanka won the task to become the first captaincy contender.
Shanmukh tried to cut a deal with Anee regarding grabbing the miner hat in the next round. Siri stole a few pearls from Ravi’s safe.
At night, Sunny safeguarded his pearls while Kajal tried to mine more pearls from the mine pit. She pleaded to Bigg Boss to not disqualify her.
Shanmukh guarded his safe with a pillow. Maanas locked the bedroom. The next morning, Sunny, Siri, Sreerama Chandra and Maanas competed in next round.
Sreerama Chandra gained access to the power room first. Bigg Boss asked for 30 golden pearls to win the power tool. He chose an envelope and kept the power tool with him.
Sreerama Chandra opened his envelope and traded it with Ravi for 44 gold. But Ravi was disappointed as the envelop asked him to return half of his gold to Bigg Boss.
Sunny, Shanmukh, Maanas, and Anee competed next in the next round of mining.

Sunny and Siri had to compete in the next challenge. But Ravi reported to Bigg Boss that Siri can’t participate in the pool task due to personal reasons. Bigg Boss instructed that someone can play on her behalf. Shanmukh and Siri asked Maanas to play.
Challenge 2:
Contenders had to wear a t-shirt, jump into the pool, wear another shirt at the end point and repeat until the final buzzer. Ravi was the Sanchalak of the task.
Sunny and Maanas tried to pull each other back during the task. Siri pointed out Sunny’s mistakes.
Maanas managed to wear 22 labelled T-shirts while Ravi found out that Sunny wore a few T-shirts inside out and his final count was 19. Sunny complained that some of his T-shirts didn’t have labels. Since Maanas played the task on Siri’s behalf, she was chosen as the second captaincy contender.
Sunny was upset with Ravi’s rules. Sunny said Ravi should have mentioned the rule before. Ravi tried to explain but Sunny was hesitant to listen. Kajal questioned why he mentioned his rule late. Sunny lost his calm as Kajal and Maanas tried to help him understand Ravi’s logic.
Sreerama Chandra felt Kajal is unnecessarily poking Sunny who continued to rant over his loss.
