Actor Aamir Khan visited Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital on Thursday to meet veteran screenwriter Salim Khan, who is currently undergoing treatment there. Aamir was accompanied by his girlfriend, Gauri Spratt, as he arrived to check on the health of the senior writer, with whom he shares a long-standing bond. The couple was later seen leaving the hospital together.

Salim Khan, 90, was admitted on Tuesday after suffering a minor brain haemorrhage. Doctors confirmed the following day that his condition is stable and that he is being closely monitored in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Dr. Jalil D Parkar clarified that no surgery was required. He explained that the haemorrhage was “very minimal” and did not necessitate any surgical intervention. According to the hospital’s official statement, Salim Khan was admitted at 8:30 am under the care of Dr. Parkar from the Department of Chest Medicine. He was initially brought to the emergency department by the family doctor before being shifted to the ICU for observation.

Since news of his hospitalization emerged, several prominent members of the film industry have visited to express their support. Veteran lyricist and writer Javed Akhtar was also seen at the hospital on Wednesday, meeting his longtime friend during this period of recovery.

With doctors confirming that his condition remains stable, well-wishers from across the industry continue to hope for his swift recovery.
