During one such interaction, Bunny Vas spoke about his highly anticipated project, Mithra Mandali. While the film was expected to perform exceptionally well at the box office, it failed to meet expectations and was labelled a dud on its opening day. Initial reports had suggested losses of around ₹20 crores, sparking widespread speculation.

Bunny Vas clarified the situation, stating that when he had watched the film earlier in the editing suite, he felt it had blockbuster potential. However, when he viewed it with an audience, people did not laugh or react in the places he had expected, which contributed to the underperformance. He confirmed that the actual loss was around ₹6 crores.

Reflecting on the experience, Bunny Vas emphasized that this setback has helped him refine his choices in selecting projects.
