After the Blue Whale Challenge, which encouraged teenagers to commit suicide, another vicious online game which recently started getting popular, is now spreading panic among parents across the world.
Named “48 Hour Challenge”, this game encourages children to pretend that they have gone missing for 48 hours. The game lures kids with the promise of getting fun in disappearing without informing anyone, thus making parents worried. Shockingly, the game offers points to kids in proportion to the amount of panic they can create on social media, in the form of mentions from family and friends, police searches etc.
The challenge is believed to have originated in the UK, and has spread across the world since it is an online game, which can’t be stopped, practically speaking.
