Boxing Legend Muhammad Ali Critically ill

America’s Boxing Legend, former heavyweight champion, torch-bearer of the US Civil Rights movement and the anti-Vietnam War protester Muhammad Ali is said to be critically ill. Ali, who has been suffering from Parkinson’s disease for over 20 years, is apparently in his last days and maybe counting his days, according to reports.
This came into light when Ali failed to attend the Hollywood premiere of a new movie ‘I am Ali’ based on his life. The film released last week in America and due next month in British Cinemas. In 2012, Ali was a titular bearer of the Olympic Flag during the opening ceremonies of the 2012 Olympics in London. He was helped to his feet by his fourth wife Lonnie to stand before the flag due to his Parkinson’s rendering him unable to carry it into the stadium.
72-yr-old Ali is now said to be in serious condition and reportedly “unable to speak”. Ali’s daughter Hana (with his thrid wife), however, is optimistic that he is going to survive this. Ali has been married four times and has seven daughters and two sons. Let’s hope the great Muhammad Ali would soon overcome this phase.
