Debutant actor Ghattamaneni Jaya Krishna, son of the late Ramesh Babu and grandson of legendary Telugu cinema icon Krishna, recently unveiled a statue of his grandfather in Vijayawada, speaking emotionally about continuing the family legacy.

Recalling a special connection with the industry, Jaya Krishna said, “Exactly 41 years ago, noted producer Aswini Dutt made Agniparvatham with my grandfather Krishna. In 1999, the same banner launched my uncle Mahesh Babu with Raja Kumarudu. Today, I feel fortunate to be introduced by the same banner.” He added that he would give his “100 per cent” to his debut film Srinivasa Mangapuram, directed by Ajay Bhupathi.

With Jaya Krishna’s entry, the Ghattamaneni family now welcomes its third generation into the Telugu film industry. The film is currently in production, and the first-look poster of the young actor has already generated significant buzz among fans and industry insiders.

Speaking with visible emotion, Jaya Krishna expressed his gratitude to his grandfather, saying, “I always feel that my grandfather Krishna is by my side, guiding me in everything I do.” His remarks reflected humility, confidence, and the values passed down through his illustrious family.

He also acknowledged the support and guidance of his uncle, Superstar Mahesh Babu, who released the first look of Srinivasa Mangapuram. “Mahesh Babu has always been like a mentor to me. I am a diehard fan of his,” Jaya Krishna said, expressing heartfelt appreciation. With a rich cinematic legacy and strong family backing, the young actor appears poised to carve his own identity in the Telugu film industry.
