The shocking and gruesome killing of Telugu techie Srinivas Kuchibotla has shook NRIs living abroad and Indian techies who’re aspiring to visit US and thus fulfill their America Dream.

While many say that such incidents feel them insecure yet they quickly add that it’s not easy to give up the ‘American Dream’. And one of the main reasons is the fat salary income that is earned by techies in US.

For instance, a techie in India with 10 years of work experience draws between Rs 12-20 lakh annually, whereas the same stands anywhere upwards of Rs 50-60 lakh per annum in the US. And since it’s almost 5 times higher, Indian techies say such incidents can’t deter many of them going to US.

Such unfortunate incidents aren’t new. They have been there for a while. And if statistics are considered, the number of professionals and students who left to US from the Telugu states have drastically increased with no decline.

Now it’s turn of Indian foreign ministry to hold talks with US embassy and see to it that the Indians in US, other countries are safe and treated well. Given that Trump had earlier stated he loves Indians, if PM Modi intervenes, US President Trump may respond positively in the matter.
