Camp Politics: Richest Minister vs Reddy Brothers

The Karnataka crisis has drawn the attention of entire nation. The Governor’s decision to invite BS Yeddyurappa to sworn-in as the CM despite not having desired numbers is under severe criticism. Already, Kumaraswamy had leveled sensational allegation that BJP is offering Rs 100 Crore and ministry to woo the MLAs of JD(S). It is widely alleged that Reddy brothers are behind the BJP and giving strong financial support to Yeddyurappa’s team.

On the other hand, Congress and JD(S) are also pulling out all stops to keep their members intact and if possible to increase their numbers. Already JD(S)-Congress combine roped in the two independent MLAs on their side giving a rude shock to the BJP.

Amidst this, naturally, all eyes are on the leaders who is splurging money on keep their camps alive and intact.

While mining baron Gali Janardhan Reddy and his brothers is allegedly funding BJP’s camp and going all out to prove Yeddyurappa’s majority, on the other hand India’s richest politician former Energy Minister in Siddaramaiah’s cabinet and Congress leader DK Shivakumar is said to be actively working to muster support to JD(S)-Congress combine. Shivakumar, who had declared assets worth Rs 730 Crore, said to be playing crucial role to ensure that Congress legislators won’t cross over to the BJP.

While BJP is claiming that it will pass the Floor Test in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly, DK Shivakumar countered by stating that he and Congress will ensure it won’t happen. With Shivakumar’s open statement that Congress is making sure BJP won’t poach its MLAs or the MLAs of its ally, this turns a major challenge for Yeddyurappa.

As of now, the two richest leaders Shivakumar and Gali brothers are the cynosure of all eyes in Karnataka crisis.
