Can A.R. Murugadoss Make a Comeback After Sikander’s Failure?

Share

A.R. Murugadoss was once a trailblazing filmmaker, delivering blockbuster after blockbuster and earning a reputation as one of India’s most in-demand directors. However, the tide has turned, and he now finds himself navigating a rough patch in his career. His decline began with Spyder, and with each subsequent film, audience interest dwindled. After a brief hiatus, Murugadoss has returned with two major projects—Sikander, starring Salman Khan, and Madraasi, featuring Sivakarthikeyan.

Unfortunately, Sikander failed to live up to expectations. Despite a powerhouse cast including Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna, the film struggled at the box office, largely due to a weak screenplay and uninspired execution. This setback has put immense pressure on his next venture, Madraasi.

For Sivakarthikeyan, Madraasi is a significant project, but his fans are skeptical. The actor is riding high on the success of Amaran, and many feel collaborating with Murugadoss at this stage is a gamble. With Sikander falling flat, all eyes are now on Madraasi to determine whether Murugadoss can stage a comeback. His past successes remain undeniable, but the big question is—can he reclaim his former glory, or is his golden era truly over?
