Canada’s Immigration Trends
While processing times fluctuate, the overall pace of immigration to Canada has slowed. In 2024, the country’s population grew by 1.8%, reaching 41.5 million—the slowest rate in three years. Policy changes aimed at managing immigration levels have contributed to this deceleration, particularly in the intake of new and temporary residents following a post-pandemic surge.

As the IRCC continues to adjust its processing timelines, applicants are encouraged to monitor updates regularly to plan their immigration journey effectively.
