Buyers who distributed Akhanda 2 in Andhra Pradesh recently met director Boyapati Srinu and apprised him of the financial losses they are facing. During the meeting, the buyers presented region-wise details of the losses incurred and sought his intervention for support.

According to the buyers, the film’s producers had earlier assured them that the Goods and Services Tax (GST) component would be settled in January. Despite this assurance, distributors in Andhra Pradesh continue to face losses of nearly 50 per cent on their investments.

Sources said Boyapati Srinu responded positively and assured the buyers that he would extend all possible help. He also instructed his close associates to initiate discussions with Mango Ram, who played a key role in supporting the film’s release.

As per the plan, Boyapati’s associates, along with a section of the buyers, are expected to meet Mango Ram on Monday. While it remains unclear what decision Mango Ram will take, sources believe he is fully aware of the financial aspects of the release, including the sale value of rights, recoveries made, and the extent of losses suffered.
