One of the accused in the sensational cash-for-votes scandal and close aide of Nara Lokesh, Maganti Pradeep Chowdary, has been issued GHMC ticket from the TDP. Maganti Pradeep will be contesting from Vengalrao Nagar divison and he has filed his nomination for the same. Although there was stiff competition to this ticket within the party and also from the alliance partner BJP for another candidate, the seat has been allocated to Pradeep with the intervention and blessings of Nara Lokesh.
Pradeep was interrogated by the ACB in the cash-for-votes scandal. It’s alleged that Pradeep played pivotal role in the cash-for-votes issue during the MLC election which caught TDP senior leader and Kodangal MLA Revanth Redy red-handed.
However, Pradeep had refuted all the allegations and made it clear that he has no role in the matter. On several occassions, he said he’s innocent and being framed unnecessarily. Pradeep already attended the ACB’s interrogation and cooperated to the probe.
With the latest incident, it’s yet again proved that Nara Lokesh is growing strong within the party and showing his strength in party.
