Luxury customisation brand Caviar, best known for its gold-plated and diamond-studded smartphones, has stepped into futuristic territory with the launch of the world’s first luxury humanoid robot, named “Aladdin.”
Reimagined from Unitree’s G1 humanoid robot, Aladdin transforms functional robotics into a high-end collectible. Draped in gold and intricate ornamental detailing, the humanoid robot is designed to resemble a luxury artefact rather than a conventional piece of technology.
According to Caviar, Aladdin draws inspiration from Arab and traditional Eastern cultural motifs, blending ornate craftsmanship with advanced robotics. The robot is not mass-produced; instead, it will be created only through private commissions, much like bespoke luxury watches or custom art pieces.
Each unit will be individually customised with gold accents, precious stones, and personalised symbols chosen by the buyer. As a result, no two Aladdin robots will look the same, reinforcing its exclusivity and collector appeal.
Reimagined Unitree G1: Specifications and features
Despite its lavish exterior, Aladdin retains the engineering and functionality of Unitree’s G1 humanoid platform. The robot stands 130 cm tall, weighs approximately 35 kg, and features 23 independently movable joints, enabling it to walk, gesture, move its arms, and perform human-like motions.
Caviar clarified that while the robot’s mechanics, software, and movement capabilities remain unchanged, its exterior has been completely redesigned. The company says Aladdin is inspired by tales from One Thousand and One Nights, portraying the humanoid robot as a digital-age hero whose strength lies in intelligence and technological capability rather than physical power.
Expanding luxury into advanced tech
With Aladdin, Caviar continues its push into ultra-luxury technology products. The company recently launched the Secret Love iPhone 17 Pro collection, priced from $10,200 (approximately ₹9.34 lakh), featuring textured gold finishes and festive ornamental designs.
By entering the humanoid robotics space, Caviar signals its ambition to redefine luxury beyond smartphones—positioning advanced technology itself as a bespoke, collectible status symbol.
