After the Sankranthi season, summer is one of the most-awaited periods in Telugu cinema for big releases, starting from the end of March each year. This year promises several major films, though a few have shifted their release dates.

Ram Charan’s upcoming film Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, was initially slated for March 27 but has now been postponed to April 30. Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh is exploring multiple release dates, but with Peddi moving out, it is now locked for March 26. With two major releases from the Mega family confirmed, fans naturally wonder about Chiranjeevi’s much-anticipated film.

Chiranjeevi’s delayed project Vishwambhara, directed by Vassishta Mallidi of Bimbisara fame, still lacks a confirmed release date. Originally planned for September last year, then postponed to Sankranthi 2026, the film was further delayed due to pending VFX work. If Vishwambhara secures a slot during summer, with no clashes, it promises to be a true ‘mega’ treat for fans.
