Centre and Telangana searching for ‘missing’ IAS Officer

“Missing” IAS officer Randeep Sudan was reportedly allotted to Telangana in the AIS officers’ latest allotment list. However, sources say that both the Centre and the state governments are clueless whether the officer is still in service.
Mr Sudan was considered IT whiz of Chandrababu Naidu when he was the CM of undivided AP from 1995 to 2004. He then reportedly went on assignment to the World Bank in January 2005 once YSR became the CM but after his deputation ended in the year 2007 he hasn’t reported back.
Later, he reportedly secured the extension of his deputation by two more years, that also ended in 2009. He, however, has reportedly failed to report to the state government again. The TS government is planning to pursue the case with the DoPT, to seek action against him in case he fails to report immediately to the government.
