If reports are to be believed, Chadalawada Krishnamurthy would soon be appointed as the new Chairman of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam. Touted to be the biggest temple administration in the country which manage the affairs of the popular temple and its whopping funds, there’s a stiff competition for the post. However, Mr Chandrababu Naidu is keen on naming Chadalawada for the post and formal announcement regarding this would be made shortly.
A former MLA from Tirupati, Chadalawada didn’t contest the 2014 general elections as part of an agreement with Naidu and “sacrificed” his Tirupati seat to fellow TDP leader. Although several big names, including from various other states, popped up, Chandrababu has been firm on nominating Chadalawada for the Chairman post as Naidu promised him to make him TTD chairman if he gives up his seat. The TTD board headed by chairman Chadalawada would consists of 18 board members. CM Chandrababu decided to induct one board member each from neighbouring states Telangana, Tamilnadu and Karnataka.
Khairatabad MLA and BJP leader Chintala Ramachandra Reddy is anointed as the TTD board member from Telangana state. Andhra Pradesh Endowments Minister Pydikondala Manikyala Rao has corroborated the news and conveyed the sweet news to Chintala over the phone and congratulated him. Since Chintala is an ardent devotee of Lord Venkateswara, he and his followers have expressed their content on the nomination by AP government.
