Akkineni Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala got engaged in August 2024 and later tied the knot in a private ceremony on December 4, 2024, at Akkineni’s Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad. In a recent interview with Bollywood News, Chaitanya shared his admiration for his wife, highlighting her role as his pillar of support.

Chaitanya expressed how much he values Sobhita’s counsel on both personal and professional fronts. “Whenever I feel lost or stressed, I turn to her. She quickly senses when something’s off and asks me what’s troubling me. She’s my sounding board, offering neutral yet valuable advice. I completely trust her judgments, and they help me immensely in making key decisions,” he said.

During the trailer launch event of his upcoming movie Thandel in Visakhapatnam, Chaitanya lightheartedly referred to Sobhita as a “Vizag ammayi,” joking that he married a local girl. He humorously pointed out that the “ruling party” at home now hails from Vizag and cheekily requested fans to support Thandel at the Vizag box office to save his honor at home. Chaitanya also shared how he learned the local dialect for his role in the film, thanks to Sobhita.

Thandel, based on true events, tells the gripping story of 22 fishermen from Srikakulam who, during a storm, drift into Pakistani waters and are imprisoned for almost two years. The film, which stars Sai Pallavi alongside Chaitanya, is set for release on February 7, 2025.
