Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu continues to lead an inclusive NDA government in close coordination with Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan and BJP leadership. This collaborative spirit was once again evident when the CM responded positively to a key suggestion made by his deputy.
Pawan Kalyan, who also holds the Panchayat Raj portfolio, proposed a significant reform in the registrations department. He suggested that the fees collected from the commercialisation of farmlands be directed to local Panchayats instead of the registration department. According to him, this move would strengthen the financial stability of Panchayats and empower them to take up development initiatives more effectively.
Impressed by the idea, CM Chandrababu Naidu immediately approved the proposal and instructed officials to draft an action plan for its implementation. The move reflects the government’s commitment to decentralisation and strengthening grassroots governance.
