Appealing to the distressed people to join hands to fight against the injustice being meted out by TDP government, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has fervently asked them not to resort to suicides as the dawn of better days is in the offing and the era of darkness will come to an end soon.
“Chandrababu Naidu can fool people only once with his false promises but people will not forgive him for the second time, we will join hands and fight the injustice mounting pressure to keep a check on him and wait for the better days ahead.
I appeal you not to commit suicides but join the fight against injustice,” the leader of opposition said while addressing a public meeting in Palyam on Wednesday. In a vivid comparison of the promises of the TDP President before the elections and the denials after assuming power, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said, “ his promises of total loan waiver of agriculture and DWACRA women groups were widely published and circulated through media, hoardings and other publicity avenues but started sidestepping the issue after becoming chief minister.
While the official bankers’ figures of agriculture loans before election were Rs 87,612 crores, the recent bankers’ meeting chaired by the Chief Minister has said that the loans as on December 31. 2014 accounted to Rs 99,000 crores, the difference being the penal interest accrued during the nine months.
While this is the reality he has been telling that the loans were waived and the budgetary allocation was just Rs 4,400 crores. The same is in case of DWACRA groups and women are facing hardships due to the false promises of Chandrababu Naidu.
No fresh loans are coming from the banks and farmers are forced to go to private money lenders. He has been telling lies on all counts and did not fulfill a single poll promise. Farmers and women groups have become defaulters and have to pay penal interest. They are not eligible for crop insurance as well, he said.
