Ever since Chandrababu Naidu is back in the saddle of CM chair after sitting in the Opposition for 10-long years, Naidu seems to have changed a lot compared to his previous terms. But the change is not totally for good. This is what irking Naidu’s well-wishers.
Chandrababu, who used to be very strict earlier, now become a bit liberal. Be it party people or leaders or government officials, Naidu didn’t spare anyone whoever commits mistakes during his previous tenure. But after back to power, he decided to go slow on party leaders, government officials. Also, Naidu wants to prove that he is totally committed towards the state activities and for this he is getting involved in almost all the things. While few earned him good name, few have backfired.
Especially, the recent ‘Call Money’ scandal that got unfolded, put Naidu on spot. Naidu directly reacting said to have backfired. Due to Naidu’s involvement and repeated statements that no one would be spared irrespective of party or position, this led cops to go strict on all the financiers who are lending money. This in turn affected both the genuine financiers, money debtors on whole. In several places, police started harassing financiers this led financiers turning against Naidu and his government.
Many political analysts opined that Naidu shouldn’t have reacted as the law will take its own course. For example, take the case of B Mohan Reddy, an assistant sub inspector of police in Telangana who was arrested on charges of disproportionate assets case as he amassed hundreds of crores of assets. Neither KCR nor his ministers didn’t issue a statement and but his government acted well on him.
At the same time, ‘Call Money’ too is not something that is there in the new state of AP. It’s been there for a while and even existed before the bifurcation of the state. So, Naidu should have had handled it well rather than directly reacting on it. Few media which was in favour of Naidu too pointed the same and it was brought to Naidu’s notice.
It’s heard that Chandrababu too felt the same and decided to not to over-react from now on wards.
