N. Chandrababu Naidu has reached a historic milestone, completing 15 years as Chief Minister — the longest tenure in the history of united Andhra Pradesh. This remarkable achievement highlights his enduring influence in state politics and his consistent public support across decades.

Naidu first assumed office in 1995, taking charge after a dramatic political shift within the TDP. Since then, he has been elected as Chief Minister three times, with his latest victory in 2024 reaffirming his political dominance.

With this milestone, Chandrababu joins the elite league of South Indian stalwarts like M. Karunanidhi and M. G. Ramachandran, who served as Chief Ministers for over 15 years. His political journey, marked by vision and administrative excellence, continues to inspire both his supporters and critics alike.

Even in the era of “one-chance” political slogans, Naidu stands apart as a leader repeatedly trusted by the people of Andhra Pradesh. Notably, he also holds the record for being the longest-serving Chief Minister in the history of divided Andhra Pradesh — having won two out of three elections since the bifurcation.

As he embarks on his current term, Naidu’s focus remains on rebuilding Andhra Pradesh, strengthening governance, and fostering long-term growth. By the end of this tenure, he will have served nearly 19 years in office — a historic record that cements his legacy as one of India’s most experienced and resilient political leaders.
