Chandrababu Naidu Criticizes Jagan, Highlights Welfare Achievements

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu drew a stark contrast between his governance and the previous YSRCP administration, stating, “I am not a Tughlaq like Jagan.” Speaking at a public meeting in Vizianagaram district, Naidu accused former CM Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy of curbing citizens’ freedom and suppressing public celebrations during his tenure.

Naidu remarked that under Jagan’s administration, people could not freely celebrate festivals as trees were cut and trenches were dug to control public movement. “People were constantly restricted, and their joy was suppressed,” he added, noting that the 2024 elections had restored hope and freedom in the state.

Highlighting his government’s welfare initiatives, Naidu pointed to the Super Six schemes successfully implemented so far:

Financial support for families with children under Thalliki Vandanam

Direct aid to farmers through Annadata Sukhibhava

Free RTC travel for women under Stree Shakti

Three free gas cylinders annually under Deepam-2

₹15,000 aid for auto drivers starting October 4

Creation of 15,000 jobs via the Mega DSC recruitment drive

Naidu also emphasized that ₹48,000 crore had been spent on pensions in just 16 months, underscoring the government’s commitment to welfare.

Reiterating his promise of people-first governance, Naidu said his administration prioritizes development, stability, and happiness, unlike what he described as Jagan’s “Tughlaq-like” rule, characterized by fear and unnecessary restrictions. He assured citizens that Andhra Pradesh will continue to progress under his leadership with a focus on welfare and inclusive growth.
