Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is set to travel to New Delhi later today for a crucial two-day visit that carries significant political and financial implications for the state.
The primary agenda of this visit is Naidu’s participation in the high-level NITI Aayog Commission meeting, where he is expected to address several key issues, including pending financial matters concerning Andhra Pradesh. A major focus will be the Polavaram Project, with Naidu pushing for expedited funding and support from the Central government to ensure its timely completion.
Beyond the NITI Aayog meeting, Naidu is expected to hold one-on-one discussions with several top Union Cabinet Ministers, including those handling Defence, Home Affairs, and Finance. His itinerary includes strategic meetings where critical issues like state development, infrastructure funding, and national security are likely to be discussed.
Notably, reports suggest that a closed-door meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah may also be on the cards, further underlining the political significance of this visit.
This trip follows closely on the heels of a meeting between Nara Lokesh and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, signaling a series of important engagements between Andhra Pradesh leadership and the Centre.
Chandrababu Naidu is expected to return to Andhra Pradesh on the 24th, making this a focused and time-sensitive political tour aimed at strengthening the state’s position at the national level.
