Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu recently expressed his admiration for Nandamuri Balakrishna, celebrating the actor’s recent achievement of being conferred with the prestigious Padma Bhushan award. Speaking at a family felicitation event organized by his wife, Bhuvaneshwari, Naidu praised Balakrishna’s extraordinary contributions both to the film industry and society at large.
Naidu remarked on the transformation of Balakrishna, noting that while he was once affectionately referred to as “Allari Balayya,” he now stands as “Padma Bhushan Balayya,” a testament to his growing stature and influence. He lauded Balakrishna as a “pride of the nation,” highlighting his dedication, discipline, and significant humanitarian efforts, particularly his establishment of a renowned cancer hospital that has provided life-saving treatment to many.
With evident pride, Naidu acknowledged the deep bond between Balakrishna and his wife, Bhuvaneshwari, describing the dynamic as a powerful one. He humorously shared that despite being the “mediator” between them, he was kept in the dark about the event’s planning, as Bhuvaneshwari had insisted on personally organizing the occasion to honor her brother.
Reflecting on Balakrishna’s journey, Naidu mentioned that both he and the actor share a longstanding history of service and achievement. Balakrishna’s career began in 1974, four years before Naidu entered politics in 1978. Despite Balakrishna’s playful public persona, Naidu emphasized his brother-in-law’s strong work ethic and unwavering commitment to public service. As a three-time MLA, Balakrishna has worked tirelessly for the people of his constituency.
Naidu concluded by expressing how proud the entire Nara and Nandamuri families are of Balakrishna’s exceptional accomplishments, recognizing that his Padma Bhushan award marks a momentous achievement for their family.
