Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is widely recognized as one of India’s most effective administrators and visionary leaders. His administrative acumen was on full display during a high-profile conference with the state’s collectors yesterday.
During the interaction, Chandrababu delivered an inspiring and motivating speech to the collectors under his jurisdiction. “Don’t mistake my strictness on the job. I am very particular about delivering good administration. Collectors must remember that this period of their career will be remembered for the rest of their lives. Andhra Pradesh has historically produced some of the best collectors in the country, and I will provide my full support if you specialize in your role,” he said.
He highlighted the achievements of former officers such as Sathyanarayana, Sahani, and Chandrasekhar, who served under his leadership and later became IT secretaries in Delhi. “I won’t disturb you once you start delivering good administration,” Chandrababu assured.
The Chief Minister also cited Subbarao, who worked as a collector in Andhra Pradesh under his tenure and later went on to become the RBI governor, specializing in finance. Chandrababu’s emphasis on grooming officers for excellence reflects a rare legacy in Indian governance, showcasing his mastery in effective administration and mentorship of the bureaucracy.
