
Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday conducted a comprehensive review of file-clearance performance across all ministries, directing his cabinet to speed up approvals and reduce pendency in every department.
During a high-level meeting attended by ministers and department secretaries, the chief minister examined department-wise data, including the number of files handled by each minister, the average disposal time, and instances of files being kept pending without decisions.
The IT secretary presented the E-Office File Clearance Report. As per the assessment, social welfare minister Dola Sree Bala Veeranjaneyaswamy secured the top rank, with an impressive average clearance time of just two days and 41 minutes.
State irrigation minister Nimmala Ramanaidu stood in second place with zero pending or parked files. Law minister N.M.D. Farooq was ranked third for his speedy file-processing record.
The report also noted that although the chief minister handled the highest number of files, he stood sixth in overall ranking. Out of 6,713 files received, he cleared 6,653 and parked 401, taking an average of a little over three days per file.
State IT minister Nara Lokesh, who handled 3,916 files, was ranked ninth with an average clearance time of three days and 14 hours. He cleared 3,669 files and parked 266.
Jana Sena Party president and deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan ranked 11th, taking an average of four days and nine hours to clear each file. He disposed of 2,001 files and parked 67.
The chief minister instructed all ministers to significantly improve their turnaround times and ensure faster clearances going forward.
