Chandrababu & Revanth Reddy Meet Today on Krishna Water Issue

Share

As previously reported, the Chief Ministers of the Telugu states — Andhra Pradesh’s Chandrababu Naidu and Telangana’s Revanth Reddy — are set to meet today in Delhi to address the long-pending Krishna river water sharing issue.

The latest update confirms that the meeting has been officially scheduled for 2:30 PM this afternoon at the Jal Shakti Ministry premises. The session will be overseen by Union Jal Shakti Minister CR Patil, ensuring the discussions are closely monitored at the central level.

While Revanth Reddy and Chandrababu have met a couple of times earlier, those interactions were largely formal and limited to resolving smaller administrative matters. However, today’s meeting carries much greater significance, as the Krishna river water distribution, a contentious issue between both states for years, will be at the core of discussions.

This renewed engagement between the two Telugu Chief Ministers is being seen as a positive step toward finding an amicable resolution to a long-standing inter-state dispute. Observers are hopeful that the meeting could pave the way for a more structured and cooperative water-sharing agreement between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

It is certainly a noteworthy sight to see Chandrababu and Revanth Reddy coming together once again — this time, hopefully, with a path forward for both states.
